Sagiri says that regardless of how it happened, it's still his fault that the imperial capital became a battlefield. But then he sees something unexpected.

Irma says that she needs to get citizenship to get her family out of the refugee camps, and that her father volunteered for the Finnish army and went missing.

Irma says she’s a Finnish war refugee who lost her home to the BETA.

Irma swears she’ll rebuild Finland, the land her father tried to protect. Miki thinks back to what her own father said.

Finally in front of the Shogun, Sagiri kneels on the palm of his TSF and gives his name.

While on patrol, Miki hears a sound in the bushes and is surprised to find an American surface pilot.

Meiya kneels before Yuuhi and gives her name. But Yuuhi refuses to look her in the face.

Takeru thinks that perhaps he’s not enough of a Japanese patriot.

Yuuhi says that Takeru’s skills and the soldiers and materials being used in this fight should have been used to fight the BETA.

Meiya turns and smiles at Takeru. She looks just like she always does.

Something’s happened to Irma. The forces behind this plan have set up layers of traps.

Finishing their training program, the trainees head to their graduation.
