After the coup attempt, Takeru had been assigned to his “special mission.” It's been several days since he's seen them. Ayamine's here, but she's as down as Chizuru.

Paul Radhabinod begins to read Yuuhi's message.

“Use every ounce of strength you possess to win victory and a future for humanity.” Paul Radhabinod says that he has a message from Yuuhi as well.

Sumika says she doesn’t want Takeru to be gone. Sumika asks Takeru how he'd feel if she were gone, and he says he can’t imagine it.

“The world wants young people with strength and courage. In battle, you need experience if you're going to win.”

犬の小二郎

Commander Radhabinod begins his speech. “As of today, you’ve completed your training and become full surface pilots.”

Chizuru weeps as she thanks her instructor. Jinguuji smiles as she reminds them that they don't need to speak so politely to someone they outrank.

Takeru feels that the last words of the message, “My heart is always with you,” were directed at Meiya.

犬の小二郎

“… is the same as what we believe. Be proud of your role as the forefront of humanity's protectors, but also be aware of the responsibility.”

Meiya says that he's taught her so much, and that she wants to be strong like him. Takeru says that there’s one thing left to do.

Sgt. Jinguuji worries for her students as they leave the nest. Their time being watched over has ended, and now they're going out to the battlefield... And that's how it should be.

Paul Radhabinod begins to read Yuuhi's message.

Tamase is nervous as she gets on the stage, but calm and proud as she takes her badge and salutes.

Kasumi collapses to the floor after overstressing herself “observing” Takeru.

Takeru hands the formula to Yuuko and completes the mission.

Yuuko is overjoyed that the key to Alternative IV’s success, the formula, is now in her hands. She grabs Takeru and pulls him to her breasts.

Sumika demands to know what the hell Takeru is doing.

Takeru only made it this far because Marimo helped him in the last world. He can’t tell her that, but he wants to share his gratitude nonetheless.

Yuuko is fascinated that Takeru’s physical state in the other world is linked with his state here. She whispers that it’s a shame to let him go.

Meiya defends herself and explains that she didn’t modify Takeru's front door to keep out Sumika.

As they head to Hakuryo-Hiiragi, Sumika tells Takeru that she kept calling him from outside but he wouldn't wake up.

Takeru wakes up to a gentle voice calling him, and sees a near-naked Meiya. Shocked to wake up to a girl in his bed, Takeru lets his gaze wander.

The new pilots walk up to Sgt. Jinguuji as she talks to herself. For a moment, they're caught off guard when she refers to them by their new ranks. They now outrank their instructor.

Tamase is nervous as she gets on the stage, but calm and proud as she takes her badge and salutes.

The unit changes into their uniforms and meets up at the hall. Meiya is already there.

The Surface Pilot Badges are handed out.

Paul Radhabinod ends his speech by saying that their promotion is in recognition of their tremendous efforts during the coup attempt in rescuing the Shogun.

Ayamine is eating Yakisoba bread, her favorite. Ayamine loves high places. The roof is one of her favorite spots.

“Ensuring human history survives into the next generation. That's our job. And as for you young people, I know that what you believe is right...”

Takeru steels himself as Yuuko tells him this may be the last time he can go to the other world.

Sumika complains to Chizuru about what happened this morning. Sumika messes up and says that it wasn't his front door, but Takeru himself who was modified.

Tamase runs towards her instructor. Tamase looks like a cat as she runs.

Takeru only made it this far because Marimo helped him in the last world. He can’t tell her that, but he wants to share his gratitude nonetheless.

Takeru thanks Kasumi for helping him complete the mission safely.

Takeru panics that he overslept, but Kasumi tells him that it’s okay because they have a meeting at 9:00 in the lecture hall. Takeru doesn’t know what plans they had for the day...

Sumika happily tells Takeru that she's going to write about the weird conversation they had in their diary.

Tamase is nervous as she gets on the stage, but calm and proud as she takes her badge and salutes.

Chizuru says hello to the trio as they arrive at school.

Now that Takeru has recovered the formula needed for the 00 Unit, Yuuko calls him “this world’s savior.”

Takeru smiles to see that Sumika is just like he remembered her.

Takeru leaves Hakuryo-Hiiragi, the formula in hand.

Takeru is happy to see Chizuru's feminine side again. In the background, Meiya denies Sumika’s accusations. Mikoto and Ayamine arrive too.

Takeru salutes for the first time as a full soldier. Jinguuji looks a little sad on her students’ big day...

Chizuru is at the PX to get breakfast. Lost in thought, she almost slams into Takeru.

As Takeru realizes this is the last time he’ll wear this uniform, the other girls come and thank him. They say that they were only able to make it this far thanks to him.

Just like he did when he first came to this world, he says “Marimo-chan.” And she gently smiles at him.

Yuuko says that when he’s saved the world, to come back and tell her more fascinating stories. Takeru promises that when it's over, he’ll come back.

Chizuru says hello to the trio as they arrive at school.

Chizuru had been down ever since the coup attempt the other day. Tamase and Ms. Kyouzuka call out to Takeru.

And lastly, the 6th member of 207B, Shirogane Takeru, has his name called as well.

Suddenly, the lights at the top of the hall go on, and the door opens. The other participants in the meeting have arrived.

Kasumi is fighting to save the world, too. The young girl falls into a peaceful slumber, watched over by the hero.

Takeru leaves Hakuryo-Hiiragi, the formula in hand.

Takeru retrieves the formula needed to finish Alternative IV. As Takeru relaxes, Yuuko’s hand starts to rub his stomach.

Takeru wakes up to a gentle voice calling him, and sees a near-naked Meiya. Shocked to wake up to a girl in his bed, Takeru lets his gaze wander.

Takeru renews his vows to come back to Sumika, as his trip comes to an end.

Takeru says he’d never thought that he’d lose what he cared about, or see it change. He asks Sumika if she can imagine life without him.

Tamase runs towards her instructor. Tamase looks like a cat as she runs.

Students who didn’t pass are forced to stand up. Tamase is afraid she’ll be one of them. Takeru's name is called too at the end, but for another reason.

The unit changes into their uniforms and meets up at the hall. Meiya is already there.

In the end, instead of saying anything, Tamase leaps into her instructor’s arms. Marimo gently holds her.

The message asks them to carry on the hopes and dreams of those that came before them, and to work together to follow the path of righteousness.

Sumika stares off into space, lost in thought. What’s inside her heart?

Yuuko realizes that while Takeru may be acting like a joker, he’s still the soldier he is on the other side.

Takeru is relieved after finishing his mission. He gently picks up Kasumi, who worked so hard for him.

Takeru meets with Yuuko and says he's come to take the formula.

Just like Sumika, Meiya realizes that there’s something different about Takeru.

As Takeru realizes this is the last time he’ll wear this uniform, the other girls come and thank him. They say that they were only able to make it this far thanks to him.

Takeru steels himself as Yuuko tells him this may be the last time he can go to the other world.

Yuuko tells Takeru that it puts incredible mental stress on Kasumi to move him across worlds. Kasumi is ready to “observe” Takeru.

Mikoto was taken by MPs after the coup, but now is back to the 207B training unit.

Takeru asks them where the other members of the team are. Meiya and Ayamine have finished their breakfast, and Mikoto was taken away after the coup and has yet to return.
