Marimo is standing in the twilight, with the most gentle smile in the world. Everything turns red. There’s a crunch, and a sloppy sound.

The Fubuki's acoustic sensor picks up that a member of Red Team is moving. It appears to be trying to move around behind Takeru and Meiya.

The veterans ask Takeru if he's really the one behind the new OS. Takeru tells the veterans that exchanging information during the exercises is forbidden. The veterans laugh at him.

He's just a young boy, afraid of dying.

The sounds continue as the control seat becomes a coffin. Alternative IV and the new OS are just getting started. He hasn't even found Sumika yet.

The stimulants are having a negative effect, and Takeru can only interpret anything he's told negatively. He gets mad, thinking that he's stronger than the other surface pilots.

After defeating veteran ace pilots who should've easily beaten them, Takeru wants to achieve an even better score.

A muffled voice comes in via an encrypted line, echoing deep within their heads. This is the activation trigger for a post-hypnotic suggestion given to all surface pilots.

The afternoon exercises begin. The formation for the afternoon exercises changes, and Chizuru and Meiya join up with Takeru.

The former members of 207B form up. They now feel a little awkward about their tearful goodbye, especially since their former instructor is the one explaining the exercise.
