The purpose of Yuuko's visit to Kagami's house is to get the items she'll need for her hospital stay, since her parents are abroad and can't do it themselves.

Even if he tells her the truth, or about the other world, Sumika won't understand. But she refuses to give up.

The joy of seeing Sumika refuse to give up. The sadness of having no choice but to reject Sumika in order to protect her. Takeru is tempted to turn around right now.

Sumika tells a shocked Takeru not to let himself get too cold. The mittens he'd given her years ago are on his hands.
