Takeru gets annoyed at himself, too. He's been forced to use hypnotic suggestions and drugs, and treated like an errand boy. He's better than this, he says.

Takeru is brought to the verge of tears. Everything he's done has been recognized. His comrades, who were watching from the shadows, share their joy.

Sumika complains to Chizuru about what happened this morning. Sumika messes up and says that it wasn't his front door, but Takeru himself who was modified.

Takeru says he’d never thought that he’d lose what he cared about, or see it change. He asks Sumika if she can imagine life without him.

Takeru renews his vows to come back to Sumika, as his trip comes to an end.

“Think of your neighbors, and those around you. Whether they’re still alive tomorrow is up to you.”

Takeru steels himself as Yuuko tells him this may be the last time he can go to the other world.

In first period on Monday morning, Yuuko loudly announces that she's handing back tests.

As he listens to them say hello, he begins to feel a little ill-at-ease in what was once his normal life.

A terrifying Sumika appears behind the stunned Takeru.

The message asks them to carry on the hopes and dreams of those that came before them, and to work together to follow the path of righteousness.

Sumika and Takeru live next door, and talk like this all the time. Sumika asks Takeru directly why he seems different.
