Captain Isumi pulls out the console for opening and closing the main hatch and enters the passcode. Takeru is on perimeter watch.

Michiru is honestly happy that Akira is safe, but she is a little put off by Yuuko's making arrangements for her to be informed of this.

Takeru’s Fubuki flies through the ruins of a residential area, and receives the first shows of the match from Red Team.

Akane orders synthetic orange juice from Sergeant Kyouzuka, who offered to buy her a drink. Takeru orders fried whale, but…

Sgt. Kyouzuka leaves without waiting for a response. Then Lt. Suzumiya calls out to him.

The base commander pays tribute to the Valkyries' crew for accomplishing a difficult mission.

The Susano-O begins to refill the charged particle cannon. The Valkyries resume its escort.

Swarmed by BETAs, there was no hope of survival. Instead of being eaten and dying in pain, they are determined to take as many of their enemies with them as possible.

In Sumika's hand is a carved wooden rabbit that she was just given as a gift. Takeru regrets that he could not protect his beloved childhood friend.

Takeru is no longer a wimp. "Thank you for coming back." Gratitude and relief filled Kasumi's heart.

Yuuko first tells him that Sumika is alive. Takeru probably thought she was dead, so her first move was t correct that.

The world is taking away even Sumika, who is more important to Takeru than anyone else. How much punishment will it take for him to be forgiven?

Takeru grabs her, astonished by the change. A flash of purple lightning, a white blade gleaming at his throat.

The contents of the bag that Yuuko had given Takeru were a transporter that Yuuko had made with the materials she had on hand. Takeru is surprised at the unexpected cheapness of the device.

They pass through the door at the deepest part of the building. Unless the cause that made Takeru a causal conductor is removed, he will have no choice but to remain trapped in the prison of dimensions…

It was impossible to do this all in secret. Yuuko will be arrested after this. Still, Takeru's resolve was unwavering.

Takeru has no answer, so instead he embarrasses himself by trying to change the subject. “Weren't you Marimo's friend?”

Takeru tells her its her fault for not being in her office. Yuuko tells him to stop whining that she wasn’t immediately available to meet him.

Takeru is bewildered by memories of Meiya that he's never seen before. But he is soon brought back to reality by Lieutenant Suzumiya's voice. 90 seconds to go until the tail end of the Destroyer Class group passes them.

The man she loves knows her sister is here, but not her. Takeru tells her that she needs to get to work on attracting him. He, of course, has already started a relationship with his childhood friend.

The gravity field generated by the onboard Moorcock-Lechte anti-grav engine neutralizes BETA laser attacks, and the charged particle cannon destroys the Hive.

Meiya is now truly alone. She can no longer see her twin sister, her only living relative, and they even want her dead.

Perhaps because they were in the lead, the two of them were late in decelerating, exposing themselves to a large amount of Laser Class fire.

Captain Isumi orders Kashiwagi to escort Shirogane. Everyone is surprised at the sudden change of plan.

Kashiwagi heads back to help Isumi. Her jump unit is leaking fuel, and she won't be able to make it to the Mogami.

Meiya draws the one coming after them away, while Takeru watches for the unseen TSF. Chizuru faces off against the last TSF while moving into a position where she can aid the others.

The Fubuki's acoustic sensor picks up that a member of Red Team is moving. It appears to be trying to move around behind Takeru and Meiya.

Takeru is caught off guard. The veterans excitedly tell Takeru that the fact that new pilots were able to easily defeat veterans shows the power of the new OS.

The fleet is still in fighting condition. And in another 5 minutes, the mission will be successful. Cpt. Abe gives the order for a full-out assault.

Admiral Ozawa proposes to have the 99th Punishment Battalion rescue Captain Isumi while maintaining the retreat route. Captain Isumi interrupts him.

Keep the peace between Hayase and Munakata, and help the rookies reach their full potential. Your patience is the glue that holds this unit together.

A BETA swarm containing multiple Laser and Fort class has appeared near Mano Bay. They'll need a new escape route.

Lt. Kazama breaks the news. At least a division's worth of BETA is en-route.

After receiving an explanation of the current situation and Plan G, Lieutenant Hayase and the others depart to clear out Takeru's escape route.

The four members of Lt. Munakata’s C Flight take on eighteen BETA approaching from the left flank.

The Valkyries have the secured the launch point for the Susano-O's attack. They resupply while keeping a watch on their surroundings.

Takeru hasn't been in a dark cockpit since the day of Instructor Jinguuji's death. His "first" memories with Meiya come to mind after he wipes away the fear.

Suddenly, the lights at the top of the hall go on, and the door opens. The other participants in the meeting have arrived.

Meiya says that he's taught her so much, and that she wants to be strong like him. Takeru says that there’s one thing left to do.

All over Sadogashima, people fought bravely to enable as many to make it out alive as possible.

BETA swarms continued to swarm endlessly from all over Sadogashima. It was as if the gates of hell themselves had opened up.

B and C flights advance through the canyon, clearing BETA swarms in advance to secure an escape route for Shirogane.

Isumi felt that Meiya was as dangerous as a drawn sword without a scabbard. She suggests relaxing like Kashiwagi does. But Haruko interjects.

When asked by Ayamine if his luggage is heavy, Takeru replies in the affirmative. He's carrying a heavy burden for himself, and the entire world.

Tamaki and Mikoto are pleased to meet up with Takeru and the others. They urge them to hurry ahead.

Battleships had been rendered useless by TSFs, but now the opportunity to take a shot at the Laser Class that had dominated the TSFs was here.

Haruko acts like the hit she took was no big deal. She's already made up her mind.

Meiya offers to let Haruko board her TSF, but is rejected. Her job is to get Takeru to the Mogami safely

Sgt. Kyouzuka leaves without waiting for a response. Then Lt. Suzumiya calls out to him.

Takeru is relieved that Sumika has calmed down. He urges Sumika to rest again. Her fatigue from Sadogashima hasn't healed yet.

Meiya is concerned about Takeru, who had to say goodbye to Captain Isumi separately from the rest of the team. Isumi's words about taking care of mankind echoed in Takeru's heart.

The veterans tell Takeru he's obligated to answer the questions of a superior officer. Takeru has no choice but to tell the veterans that yes, he is the one behind the new OS.

The veterans ask Takeru if he's really the one behind the new OS. Takeru tells the veterans that exchanging information during the exercises is forbidden. The veterans laugh at him.

Even if you can’t forgive yourself right away, that’s okay. By the time you can laugh and talk about it, you might've found what you lost again.

In the blackness, he can hear the sound of his own heart beating. The sound of explosions and vibrations breaks the silence. Is that the sound of the BETA tearing apart his machine?

The Fubuki's acoustic sensor picks up that a member of Red Team is moving. It appears to be trying to move around behind Takeru and Meiya.

The veteran doesn't miss how Takeru is moving. He quickly dodges the attack from the side and shakes off the pursuing attack.

The unit feels like the new OS might turn the tide of the war. One of the veteran pilots comes to see them.

Takeru smirks and says it was harder than he thought, and that he wanted an even bigger win. Mikoto tells Takeru he's amazing.

In the blackness, he can hear the sound of his own heart beating. The sound of explosions and vibrations breaks the silence. Is that the sound of the BETA tearing apart his machine?

The BETA in the exercise area have been defeated. The corpses of the humans and the BETA are both rotting in the fields.

The golden twilight shines down on the battlefield where so much was lost, and the shadows grow longer and darker.

The rest of 207 watches him from a distance. All they can do is let him be alone.

Takeru steels himself as Yuuko tells him this may be the last time he can go to the other world.

Yuuko tells Takeru that it puts incredible mental stress on Kasumi to move him across worlds. Kasumi is ready to “observe” Takeru.

“Ensuring human history survives into the next generation. That's our job. And as for you young people, I know that what you believe is right...”

It was Paul Radhabinod who'd told them that Alternative V was happening in the last world. The memories make Takeru’s heart pound fast.

Commander Radhabinod begins his speech. “As of today, you’ve completed your training and become full surface pilots.”

Takeru salutes for the first time as a full soldier. Jinguuji looks a little sad on her students’ big day...

Takeru only made it this far because Marimo helped him in the last world. He can’t tell her that, but he wants to share his gratitude nonetheless.

In the end, instead of saying anything, Tamase leaps into her instructor’s arms. Marimo gently holds her.

Tamase is part of the archery club, and her family runs an archery range as well. She’s practicing like she does every day.

Mikoto boldly takes her surface pilot’s badge, acting the same as she always does.

Nobody knows what this meeting is for. As the team worries that 207B might be in trouble, they hear a clear voice.

In the end, instead of saying anything, Tamase leaps into her instructor’s arms. Marimo gently holds her.

Yuuko remembers her best friend's regard for this pupil. She had terrible taste in men, but Takeru was the exception.

An alarm echoes in the reactor room. The charging is almost complete.

Yuuko had already assumed that Takeru would escape then come back. Surprised and annoyed by this, Takeru finds himself glaring at her.
