Captain Isumi immediately reports to Yuuko. She gets manual control of the Susano-O's engine and waits to activate the autopilot and destruct programs.

Haruko reminds Meiya that her top priority is to get Takeru back safely.

The safety of Shirogane is entrusted to Meiya, his wingman. It's almost time for B and C Flights to go, too.

Admiral Ozawa, in command of the operation, orders the 2nd Division of the Combined Fleet to open fire. This is a diversionary attack to lure BETA swarms to the western coast of Sadogashima.

Hayase has a message for the members of B-Flight. "Treat this like a training exercise, and I'll kick your ass."

A hail of shells rains down on the division-sized BETA swarms that head toward the Valkyries. If only this was enough to stop them all…
