Takeru tells Sumika about the other world. He gets to the part about the XM3 Trials.

It was a strange story, like a fairy tale. But I believe it. Because I know when Takeru is joking and lying.

He'd thought that Sumika at least, would be okay… But now he realizes how naïve he was.

"I thought everything was going to be all right, that this time we would be able to save the world. But on the day of that exercise, everything came crashing down."

Sumika desperately holds on to Takeru, trying not to let him go. Sumika says that she has been with him for a long time, and that she absolutely understands Takeru. She won't give up, so Takeru makes his choice.

Takeru jumps out to run to Sumika, but he is stopped. Something precious is being broken within him.

The world is taking away even Sumika, who is more important to Takeru than anyone else. How much punishment will it take for him to be forgiven?

Summer! It's hot! It's time for the pool! It's summer and I'm not ready for gloves! But I'm so happy! I'll always treasure these gloves you gave me, Takeru!

Takeru thought she had come to pick him up because he was running late, but Meiya says she doesn't know about the promise to go out together.

Meiya lost her memories of Takeru after imagining all the fun they were going to have on his birthday. Yuuko tells him that the real worst is yet to come.

Takeru thanks Sumika for trying not to forget him, and for caring so much.
