When they hear that Vice Commander Kouzuki has a special mission for him, they give up, trying not to push him too hard. Takeru apologizes for not saying so from the start.

Takeru asks if there were any memorable events in "this world" between Takeru and Sumika that Kasumi has read.

After seeing how strong Takeru was as a trainee, seeing him this successful isn't much of a surprise.

Takeru was simply happy that Sumika wasn't in this world, and avoided thinking any more about what the brainstem might be because he was scared of the implications. It meant no more to him than that.

Takeru continues to talk to her, but she doesn't seem to respond. Time to get silly…
