The torrent of charged particles destroyed the BETA in the line of fire, the hive's surface structure, and everything else in its path.

Shirogane can't be sent back in the direction of the mainland. The Susano-O's self-destruction will create tsunamis that can destroy a fleet.

The rising black smoke awakens the memories that lie dormant within Takeru. Memories not experienced in this world throw sand in the gears of fate.

Shirogane had just enough fuel to get the original pickup point. But a different route means either he runs out of fuel, or the fleet is destroyed in the Tsunami.

A follow-up attack is launched on the few remaining hive ground structures. Another torrent of light rushes forth to give mankind hope.

After the second strike from the Susano-O, there's nothing left of the hive on the surface except plumes of black smoke rising in the area.

Suddenly the Susano-O loses control and begins to crash. Its escorts flee to avoid being caught in the Rutherford Field.

Lt. Suzumiya reports that the Susano-O has entered the final sequence of the assault. Yuuko keeps A-01 in the fight until the very last second.

Takeru's diversionary tactics succeeded in cutting a path through the Fort Class.
