Meiya says that he's taught her so much, and that she wants to be strong like him. Takeru says that there’s one thing left to do.

Takeru isn’t completely convinced, and Marimo begins to tell him about when she was a rookie.

The rest of 207 watches him from a distance. All they can do is let him be alone.

Marimo opens herself up to her student. Not as an instructor, or as a soldier.

Takeru hears the voice of his teacher behind him as he sits there, unmoving. She asks him if he's calmed down. His answer is not kind.

Why did she tell him this? She wanted him to know that everyone experiences the same failure, so not to take it too hard.

After all the praise he got from the veterans, he had to use drugs to fight, and then the overdose caused him to shoot paintballs at BETA. He continues to judge himself.

Takeru snaps. He leaps on Meiya like a beast, saying that he never wanted to come to this hell, when Sumika wasn't even here.

The students are all sad over the loss of the teacher they respected.

She gives up everything and embraces Takeru, who seems to be on the verge of disappearing before her eyes at any moment.

The last cultural festival. I'm glad I got to dance with Takeru at the folk dance. Takeru said he's going to Hakuryo. I'll never make it there!

Takeru feels embarrassed remembering what happened yesterday. He gives Sumika one last "good morning".
