Captain Isumi orders Kashiwagi to escort Shirogane. Everyone is surprised at the sudden change of plan.

The advance team's battles with the BETA suggest there are more underground than expected. Shirogane must be protected at all costs.

The Second Division suffered extensive damage, but all ships were able to continue the battle. They just had to stay here until the Susano-O's main computer could be recovered.

A swarm of BETAs is gathering in the advance team's path. There is no place on this island that isn't overflowing with BETA.

Under the command of Lt. Hayase, the advance team charges into the enemy horde, determined not to leave behind a single BETA that could harm Shirogane.

Kashiwagi heads back to help Isumi. Her jump unit is leaking fuel, and she won't be able to make it to the Mogami.

Shirogane is surrounded by 23 Fortress Class, 48 Grapplers, and too many smaller ones to count.

In the Shinano's CIC, Captain Abe and the other personnel in charge are also witnessing the destruction of the hive's surface structure by the charged particle cannon.

So many lives were lost the day Sado fell. But now their deaths have finally been avenged…

Cpt. Isumi tells Takeru to escape while she gets to work. Then Yuuko calls.

Shirogane can't be sent back in the direction of the mainland. The Susano-O's self-destruction will create tsunamis that can destroy a fleet.
