Takeru returns to Yokohama base, formula in hand.

Sumika complains to Chizuru about what happened this morning. Sumika messes up and says that it wasn't his front door, but Takeru himself who was modified.

Takeru smiles to see that Sumika is just like he remembered her.

As he listens to them say hello, he begins to feel a little ill-at-ease in what was once his normal life.

Sumika stares off into space, lost in thought. What’s inside her heart?

Yuuko praises the “other her” for giving Takeru more time in this world this time.

Ayamine is eating Yakisoba bread, her favorite. Ayamine loves high places. The roof is one of her favorite spots.

The message asks them to carry on the hopes and dreams of those that came before them, and to work together to follow the path of righteousness.

Takeru feels that the last words of the message, “My heart is always with you,” were directed at Meiya.

In his old, peaceful world, the people Takeru cares about are living their lives.

Sumika says she doesn’t want Takeru to be gone. Sumika asks Takeru how he'd feel if she were gone, and he says he can’t imagine it.

Takeru describes abstractly what he learned in the other world. He says that people can only resolve to do difficult things to protect the things they care about.
