Who I was talking to? Marimo-chan... But she's not Marimo-chan anymore...

Meiya invites Takeru to go out somewhere the next day. She knew that 12/16 was important, too.

But her biggest worry is how much pain Takeru seems to be in. What can she do to cheer him up? She sighs, unable to come up with an answer.

Takeru has no answer, so instead he embarrasses himself by trying to change the subject. “Weren't you Marimo's friend?”

Sumika feels sad about Marimo's death. She's crying so much that she can’t even keep her diary.

Takeru will have to get stronger and overcome Marimo's death on his own, she says as she leaves.

He takes off, saying there’s no time to waste. In doing so, he leaves behind the rest of 207 Platoon. He's forgotten that he has to work with the rest of his team.

Takeru sits in front of his destroyed Fubuki, unmoving. He was saved from certain death.
