Commander Tachibana is powerless.

There was once a 22nd Hive on Yokohama. Yuuko tells Takeru that the Hive is still partially functional and so is treated as if it’s still remaining.

Takeru is irritated at the two causing a fuss.

Yuuko looks towards this new Takeru, who she realizes is meeting her for the first time in 3 years.

Takeru is asked if he wants to see Sumika and the others, and says yes. But right now he has something more important to do.

Kasumi collapsed, but Takeru is only told that she's suffering from extreme exhaustion and loss of concentration.

With Kasumi exhausted the experiment is called off for the day.

More voices are raised in favor of a coup, but Komaki says they need to wait until the Imperial Army begins the evictions under the name of “rescuing” people.

When Kasumi comes to wake him up again Takeru is relieved.

By not having to join the Mt. Tengen rescue operation, they shaved 10 days off the time to become Surface Pilots.

Takeru smiles: in a few days he’ll have the formula for the 00 Unit, and humanity’s victory will be closer at hand.

Sakon says he’s willing to use a relative of the Shogun, or even his own daughter, to further his own ends. This angers Takeru.
