Meiya weeps, asking why someone who feels so strongly towards his country, its people, and Yuuhi, would kill others. Her feelings are a reflection of Yuuhi’s own heart.

Meiya angrily says that it doesn’t make sense to say you’re doing something for the sake of the nation while putting strain on the weakest of its citizens.

Kasumi isn’t back in Takeru's room, but her stuffed animal is still there.

For a moment, Sumika and Kasumi overlap in Takeru's mind, and he wonders if she knows Sumika.

“It was a forced eviction, right?” Takeru says as if it was nothing, and Meiya gets angry.

More voices are raised in favor of a coup, but Komaki says they need to wait until the Imperial Army begins the evictions under the name of “rescuing” people.

When Kasumi comes to wake him up again Takeru is relieved.

Meiya cares for the people and Takeru wants humanity’s victory. Their ways of thinking collide.

He yells at Meiya that a person who’s locked in a battle to save humanity shouldn’t say such things.

Takeru smiles: in a few days he’ll have the formula for the 00 Unit, and humanity’s victory will be closer at hand.

After accepting each other and making peace, Takeru and Kasumi's stomach both rumble. They laugh and decide to eat.
