The Valkyries decide to hide in the shadows of the valley and shut down their engines, letting the Destroyer Class pass through them before attacking them from behind.

Mankind cannot afford to lose the Susano-O, its most powerful weapon. The Valkyries, and Shirogane Takeru, have to do whatever it takes to protect it.

The Valkyries are notified that bombardment will begin again in 10 minutes, after the fleet switches to AL rounds.

Takeru and the Valkyries also detect the vibration of the BETA swarm digging a new tunnel. Lieutenant Suzumiya tells them the entire advance team has been wiped out.

After converting to AL rounds, the fleet resumes bombardment.

BETA corpses lay piled on top of each other at the place where the Drop Team landed. The intensity of the battle against humanity's enemies is terrifying.

They can't afford to be complacent in a difficult situation. They'll have to do more than what they were trained to do, especially Takeru, who is expected to do his best to live up to his reputation as a genius TSF pilot.

The fact that the Valkyries aren't being attacked by Lasers indicates that their target is likely the Susano-O. The BETA have powerful detection capabilities.

Nothing can be allowed to happen to the Susano-O. To be completely safe, the enemy's Heavy Laser Class must all be killed.

Admiral Ozawa proposes firing AL rounds instead of conventional artillery shells, to help deal with the lasers.
