Major Walken is angry that his men are losing their lives for the sake of a nation involved in a civil war.

Meiya was removed from her home, forced to conceal her identity, and educated to take over as the Shogun in case something happened to Yuuhi.

The Shogun has been entrusted by the Emperor with running all aspects of the state, and her safety is a higher priority than even the government’s demands.

Walken is annoyed, but Tsukuyomi insist that a mere unit commander doesn’t have the right to order a foreign nation's head of state to be injected with dangerous drugs.

As Takeru tries to take care of Yuuhi, he remembers that Meiya was worried about somebody.

A transport with Shiranuis inside, each carved with the word “Resshi”, is waiting to take off.

Takeru thanks Kasumi for helping him complete the mission safely.

Meiya says that he's taught her so much, and that she wants to be strong like him. Takeru says that there’s one thing left to do.

He can’t go back. He’ll have to live the rest of his life suffering for his choice to run away.

The students are all sad over the loss of the teacher they respected.

"I can't let this chance slip away." Takeru takes Yuuko's offer without a second thought.
